Talacogon Municipal Police Station officially launches National Police Clearance.

August 30, 2023 || San Agustin, Talacogon, Agusan del Sur – Talacogon Municipal Police Station officially launched the National Police Clearance (NPC) making it fully functional and available to the constituents of this municipality and other adjacent town in which the said service will be more speedy, efficient and comprehensive. The system is also geared towards effective implementation of the other information systems of the PNP as it is linked to all databases, from crime statistics, rogues gallery and warrant issuances.

Municipal Mayor Pauline Marie R Masendo, RN learned that the citizens of this municipality were obtaining National Police Clearance to the neighboring town which is greatly added cost, travelling expenses and time consuming. She coordinated to PCOL JOVITO C CANLAPAN, Provincial Director, Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office to let the Talacogon Municipal Police Station included in the list to be trained and ordered the Talacogon MPS to coordinate to respective concerned offices for the speedy installation of the NPC in the police station.

PLT CLIFFORD JOHN C TOMAS, Officer In-charge deeply expressed the gratefulness to Mayor Masendo for her unwavering support in allocating funds for the purchase of necessary items such computer, printer, internet connections, NPC Transaction Office and other paraphernalia needed for the program.

β€œThe purpose of this program is to bring the service of the PNP closer to the people especially Talacognons to make it easier to get a Police Clearance without going to other places and lessen the expenses.” PLT Tomas said.
