As shown in the table below, the major populace of the municipality is living in urban areas with a population of 20,374, with 4,511 households distributed to 5 barangays. On the other hand, rural areas comprise 19,979 populations which are distributed to 11 barangays with 4,307 households

Projected Population

The ten-year Municipal projected population is increasing from CY 2016 to 2026. The projected population was computed using the annual growth per barangay. Thus, for planning purposes, the negative growth rate was considered as a positive or absolute value. For the same purpose, the latest published data from PSA was used where it is assumed that the average HH size is 5.00 considering the 2015 population of 38,374 and 7,675HHs.
